Important information about mezuza and Tefilin checking.
1. No bracha is required if the mezuza is replaced on the same door post on the same day.
2. Label each mezuza as it is removed by either putting a label on it by putting it in a small plastic bag with a slip of paper indicating the door.
3. Spare mezuzas:
There is no purpose in checking spare mezuzas that you don’t anticipate using the near future. Unused mezuzas do not require checking and the checking will likely expire before the next use.
However: It is worthwhile to send them along in case one of the regular mezuzas is found pasul.
Please mark them clearly so that we only check them as needed.

- We reserve the right to charge a $10 fee for low grade mezuzahs, especially small mezuzahs. These often need extensive touch-up or additional labor.
- Despite our reasonable effort and precaution, due to age, human error or other factors, there may be occasional scratching or other damage to Batim, doorways scrolls, ink, klaf etc. may be damaged during the checking process. We attempt to exercise what we feel are reasonable precautions. We do not accept liability for any such incident.
- There are often problems with batim that are not noticeable until they are opened or reclosed. Our policy is to notify you before do any additional work. WE WILL NOT CLOSE ANY BAYIS THAT WE FEEL SHOULD NOT BE USED.
- We may not actively check for misshapen letter or other problems with ksav that existed in the original purchase but rather we verify that it did not significantly degrade since the purchase. We will notify if we notice an obvious pesul. Checking is by Certified Sofrim under the auspices of Rabbi Weinberger
- Accounting or other errors may occur. Please be forgive any error. We will notify you if we find an error that we deem appropriate. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments about your invoice. Occasionally we are asked to give the change or refund to Tzedaka. We do not accept any responsibility giving the funds to tzedaka as his often causes bookkeeping difficulties.
